Typing the character entity references in the title, it works for me (with &lt;code&gt;&lt;Foo&gt;&lt;/code&gt; being converted to &lt;code&gt;&lt;Foo&gt;&lt;/code&gt;), though &lt;code&gt;&lt;Foo&gt;&lt;/code&gt; just gets the silent data loss treatment. Stripping rather than escaping seems a little too aggressive to me.</description>
